That is why Chief Justice Rehnquist knowing that their decision did violate our 4th amendment rights at least made sure there were rules to limit the way these checkpoints were conducted. So, if you have the money to get a good lawyer you can usually get out of a DUI the way these things are run, but if you are poor and can't afford adequate representation, then you are the victim to this revenue raising scheme.
