Pender Memorial Hospital going smoke free

PENDER COUNTY -- Pender Memorial Hospital is going smoke free. Effective November 15, all tobacco products will be banned from the hospital campus. During the six months leading to the policy change, hospital employees and volunteers will be offered nicotine replacement therapies and smoking cessation classes to help them quit. Patients and visitors will be offered nicotine patches and gum during their time at the hospital. New Hanover Regional Medical Center also recently announced it's going smoke-free.
