This story seems a little suspicious to me. If the people in quiestion really owned this property and paid taxes on it every year, why not come around and check on it before waiting three years to do so? I thought when you sell property there is a deed search on the property to make sure no one else beside the person selling has any claim to the property.And if they were paying taxes every year as they have said,wouldn't the tax office caught that mistake,since it was city property?Seems like somebody is trying to make a buck at city's expense!
