Kitchen Cops 7/16/09

READ MORE:
Health inspectors found one low performer this week. They also gave two restaurants a second chance. This week's lowest score belongs to a low performer from last month. Domino's at 1600 Market Street in Wilmington scored an 82.5 in mid-June. The reinspection was not much better. Four points off because many items on the makeshift line were too warm. Three more off because pizza pans were stored dirty and had food residue. And two points off because there were several flies. Domino's on Market goes from 82.5 to 86 for back-to-back low performances. Another regrade at Paradise Café in Holden Beach. It scored an 83 last time out. This time around the inspector found a repeat, four-point violation for raw chicken, raw shrimp and spinach pie at the wrong temperature. Still, a nine-point improvement to 92 for Paradise Café. Finally to Carribay Soul on Front Street in Downtown Wilmington. Two points off because turkey, jerk chicken, veal chops and wings were too warm. The buffet is not approved and must end and be submitted for approval. The dish machine downstairs is not sanitizing. And several things need cleaning and fixing. 86.5 for Carribay Soul. Just one high performer in this week's Kitchen Cops report. An inspector found no problems at Parchie's at the Port on Burnett Boulevard in Wilmington. A perfect 100.
