This is penny-ante stuff. They'll likely draw probation. I was just examining the record of a stellar character in Craven County earlier today. He has a record as long as your leg, was just convicted for "felon in possession of a firearm" for the SECOND time, and drew probation on a suspended 60 month term. Any wonder why crime is so rampant in this state? NO deterrent, whatsoever.
