I am one of the majority that want to stop Titan. I want environmentally responsible development. I've grown up and lived most of my life here. I've worked the waterways & the ocean & we had researchers on our boat, they showed us the how the sealife is becoming damaged by pollution especially in the Cape Fear River. There's been so much damage done over the years especially during the construction boom that I feel for our future generations to incur our destruction to increase the economy. My father retired 10yrs ago from a plant (30yr employee) on the CF river & he has been diagnosed with mesothilioma 3yrs ago. I would have gladly lived with less to save him from this deadly disease. He's been to many funerals of friends who worked at this plant & many more who have been diagnosed. I just pray that one day we'll wake up and be more thoughtful of how we develop & that protecting health, environment & our children are more important.
