Health inspectors found a single low performer and three high performers in this week's Kitchen Cops report. New Hong Kong Buffet near the Walmart in Leland lost two points because the handwash sink in the dish area was blocked with a bowl and cleaning brushes. Two more because employee personal food was stored in a grocery bag in the freezer. The inspector warned not to leave too much food sitting out to be prepped. The reach-in cooler was too warm. And shrimp was being thawed the wrong way. 86.5 for New Hong Kong Buffet. To a high performer worthy of a Shakespearean play. Greenfield Amphitheater, home of Wilmington's Shakespeare on the Green series scored a perfect 100 for the second time this summer. To the Subway at 2307 North College Road in Wilmington. A half point off because the cookie utensil was stored on the handsink. The same score of 99.5 goes to Lovey's Natural Foods & Café on Military Cutoff. Just a half-point deduction for some needed cleaning.
