The state Department of Education has released its school report cards for the 2007-2008 school year. In our five-county area, only New Hanover had schools on the list of best and worst schools.
Honor Schools of Excellence include Isaac Bear Early College High School, Ogden Elementary, Codington Elementary, Parsley Elementary and Wrightsville Beach Elementary.
Mary Mosley Performance Learning Center made the list of low-performing schools, along with Sunset Park Elementary, Snipes Academy and Wilmington Preparatory Academy, which is a charter school.
