In today's Troubleshooters Report, we have an update on a story we first brought you last year. According to published reports, the Town of Oak Island has admitted to breaking public records laws, and agreed to pay almost $50,000 in attorney's fees related to a lawsuit filed by a local developer. The developer, Brian Keesee, said he lost money on a condo project because the town changed its height ordinance half way through construction. When he requested public records related to his construction project, Keesee claims the town withheld some documents, and possibly shredded others.
