The Topsail Pirates named Jeff Gainey as their new head basketball coach Thursday afternoon. Gainey is a former head coach at South View High School in Hope Mills, NC. Gainey replaces Rodney Orr. Topsail will be entering their first season as a 2-A school. They'll compete in the East Central Conference.
