Dog adoptions are back on at the Brunswick County Animal Shelter.
Adoptions were put on hold last month after two dogs tested positive for distemper, A highly-contagious respiratory disease.
After consultations with the shelter's veterinarian and experts at NC State University, the decision has been made to resume adoptions again beginning Monday at 10:00 a.m.
If you have questions about adoptions or distemper, call Brunswick County Animal Services at 755-6434.
