CFCC Smokers now the Cotton Exchange's problem

As can be seen in the video, smokers are now congregating around the Cotton Exchange, outside of offices there, and at entrances to the retail areas. Customers are complaining about having to thread the gauntlet of smokers to reach the retail areas. Profanity from the students conversations can be heard in the offices. Some of CFCC's students have long been using the Cotton Exchange's parking lot instead of their own, even though they know they are not supposed to. They react in much the same way when asked to smoke somewhere else as they have in the past when told they are not allowed to park in the CE lot unless they are shopping or pay a parking fee. They use profanity and continue to do as they please. The sidewalks around the Cotton Exchange are public, but it would be nice if those students and staff of CFCC that choose to congregate on the corner of Walnut and Front and at retail entrances could show some consideration and responsible behavior. They can stand on the public sidewalks in front of CFCC instead. I know the Cotton Exchange is happy to have CFCC Staff and Students as patrons, but I expect they would hope that CFCC Students and staff consider that the merchants of the CE are business people in a weak economy needing to attract customers. Crowds of smokers at the entrances of the CE buildings makes some customers keep on walking to shop/dine elsewhere.
