A lot can be accomplished in 30 to 40 years, but when my father returned from Vietnam in '67, he later enrolled at Wilmington College or UNCW. His experience with faculty and staff at the university was down right despicable. I know that veterans today may not face such demostrative hatefulness from the left-winged liberals that run our state university system and the chronies that they attempt to produce at those institutions, but I highly doubt that they are treated today with the upmost respect and honor that they deserve. I don't mean to say that veterans deserve special treatment on college campuses, but they are and should be looked upon as the cream of the crop as students at the university level. Their life experience through military service far superceeds any degree or doctorate that faculty and staff may earn at a university. Just get your piece of paper and get back out to the real world ladies and gentlemen. There are many who value and cherish your service to your country and do hold you in high regard. Thanks.
