While time ticks away, local car dealerships are preparing for a busy Monday night. The government's Cash for Clunkers program expires tonight. Employees at Bob King Auto Mall says this weekend was by far the busiest as the deadline approached. About a dozen people came by today alone. The deadline is 8 o'clock tonight, but that doesn't mean you have until then to trade in your old car. Problems with the government website means it may take longer to process the exchange. “It's like trying to shove a watermelon down a garden hose, there's so much activity trying to be on there it just can't keep up,” said Jason Wallace of Bob King Auto Mall. There have also been problems with the program's government reimbursement. For example, 40 cars have been sold at Volkswagen at Bob King Auto Mall, but the government reimbursement has only come in for three.
