The Wilmington Tigers semi-pro football team is undefeated with one more game left in the regular season. The Tigers will host the Gretna Storm from Virginia Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at Legion Stadium. William Murphy is the head coach of the Tigers once again. This is his third season at the helm. There is word that this may be his last season as the head coach. “I'm going to give myself two months and then I'll give you an answer,” said Murphy. “I'd like to take some time off and give it a thought. I would come back if they want me back and help them if I come back, but if not I guess I can stand on the sideline and be happy.” Wilmington is a member of the Mason-Dixon Football League. The Tigers lead the South Division by a full game over the Greensboro-Carolina Heat.
