I have to agree with guest 7969. These items/weapons could be auctioned to the non problematic, responsible law abiding gun owners (the ones that have gun safes)& the profit could go directly to new crime fighting technology (i.e. individual officer night vision, more training, more k-9's etc.). There is no need to destroy a useful weapon/item, its totally irrational.
