Hi, I am an Oak Island permanet resident and I am not so sure I love this idea. I swim in our ocean sometimes but I can not stand the thought of sharks, jellyfish or any hazordous type of sea creature. I believe that if our town puts this reef in.... won't it attract these sea animals closer to shore? Therefore that would make me not to want to swim in the ocean and it will make it dangerous to swim. Another reason if we put this "reef" in it will attract numerous amounts of sea creatures, so when our boats go out there to fish, will they kill some of the animals? I mean don't get me wrong I do find this thought blissful... sorta. I hope before we make a permanet decision I hope the mayor, Mr. Vereen, will think about it and so will the town. So I ask please don't just think "Oh, this will make more people want to come here!" Think of what will really happen??? Thank you! Hayley Lantrip
