The Leland Candidate Forum was not held in a restaurant but rather in its meeting facility. The characterization in your report (10/08/09) that Leland voters met for “politics and pizza” trivializes the effort all the candidates made to try to convey their knowledge of the Town’s government affairs and visions for the future of a town that has experienced phenomenal growth. We are all applying for one of the most important and toughest jobs we may ever have -- representing the people of Leland. A lot is riding on this election. And, by the way, no food was served.
