Kitchen Cops 10/1/09

READ MORE:
Just one area restaurant earned low performer status from health inspectors, and one got top honors. This week's low score belongs to China Garden on Eastwood Road in Wilmington. Four points off because chicken was sitting at room temperature and won tons and garlic were too warm in coolers. Three more because food was stored on the floor in the cooler and other food was stored uncovered. Three more off because dirty dishes were stored on and above the prep sink and on the clean side of the three-compartment sink, and a cutting board and sautee pan were stored on the floor. Two more points off because chicken was being cooled under running water instead of in a cooler or ice bath. Ten violations in all and a score of 82 for China Garden. Top honors this week belong to Edible Arrangements on Wrightsville Avenue in Wilmington. Zero violations and a perfect score of 100.
