Haven't you traveled to Europe and seen the beautiful old cities? They take great strides to preserve it and have super stringent building laws and codes. I don't think Wilmington is quite in that category but I also think that historic building should be kept. Now who decides what is historic is another thing. Age doesn't make it historic per say it may just make it old.
