Landfall residents now have a new place to enjoy some peace. The Wilmington community hosted a dedication ceremony celebrating a new labyrinth in their garden. A local artist hand crafted a bronze heron sculpture to stand in the center of the path. The garden sits behind the Kenan Chapel and is often the location for weddings, religious services, and music programs. Chapel President Al Newsom said, "The main thing it'll bring is just a place in this nice wooded area for people to enjoy nature. It's also a place where you can walk the labyrinth and meditate, and think of things in the past, and think of things in the future." The labyrinth was paid for by Landfall residents. It is only open to its residents and guests. This is one of three labyrinths in Wilmington. The others are at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center and at the Episcopal Church on Oriole Drive.
