Hewett made a deal and plead guilty while chuckles wouldn't. After chuckles was found guilty he received a longer sentence. That is the way the court system works. If you save them the trouble of going through a complete trial by pleading guilty, you get a lesser sentence.
Hewett pleaded guilty to three counts of embezzlement and pleaded no contest to one count of obstructing justice.
