Badges of Honor handed out to Wilmington Police Department

Some men and women in uniform received a badge of honor Friday. Members of the Wilmington Police Department were promoted and honored for their hard work. From sergeants, to corporals, lieutenants and one captain, the men and women pinned Friday have devoted many years to the Wilmington Police Department and our community. Not only was it a special day for those recognized, but for family, friends and co-workers. "I'm very excited about being promoted to corporal. It gives me a new opportunity for future development with the police department," said Corporal Joshua Miller. The members of the police department have been in their new roles for a few weeks already. Friday was simply a time to gather everyone together to celebrate.
