I just want to say thanks to the YMCA afterschool staff for putting together a wonderful gathering yesterday evening for the Lights on Afterschool. They had guest speakers from the Pender Board of Ed, the school principal, YMCA and the kids favorite, the Sable Helicopter. A big thanks to the two pilots who had the patience to answer each childs question (young & old) and allowing each child a turn to sit within the helicopter. We were then directed to turn our attention to a choir of youngsters singing "This Little Light of Mine". During refreshments we were led by the hand of our children, proudly showing off their artwork created in afterschool. Thanks so much :)
