You really think the State is going to represent the will of the people? People have been trying to get beach closures and water access rights given back to the public for years now with state representatives giving in to special intrest groups. However, North Caroina is the only state that still allows the use of Gill nets in local waters. I think it is time for the State take into consideration what others have known for some time. Gill nets are doing more harm then good.
