Missing elderly couple found

BRUNSWICK COUNTY -- The search for the missing elderly couple last seen in Leland has ended with some very good news. Ed and Julia Silver have been found. Family and friends of the Silvers say they are relieved by the news. The Wallace Police Department says a tip from an EMS worker directed police to a campsite. That's where police found the Silvers' camper. This all happened Sunday, June 3, the day the couple went missing. Wallace police say paramedics were called to the Lake Leamon campsite just off of I-40 outside of Wallace. EMS took Mr. Silver to Duplin General Hospital. Paramedics recognized the couple from missing persons reports and notified the police. Ed Silver is still in Duplin General but he's in good condition and is expected to be released this afternoon.
