Military Stress

After having spent 10 and a half yrs in The United States Army, serving in various stations overseas and in the U.S. I can attest first hand to the fact that the military DOES!! I repaet DOES offer to anyone who needs it counseling and assistance for stress or emotional problems that may arise. I spent my entire military career in the Air Defense Artillery. Being in a combat, front line unit for all this time presented me with unusal and difficult circumstances from time to time. I was also met and married my wife, another soldier, while serving. I went through a divorce while serving. I went to egypt, Kuwait, Bosnia, while serving, I sought counseling for depression while in Korea. I had other soldiers ask, while in basic training, " this isn't waht the commercial looked liked". Let me tell you again the counseling and facilities are available to each and every servicemember. Whether or not they choose to use the tools at hand are up to the individual. every walk of life has people that are unstable. The military is no exception. Do not blame the military for psychological problems that a person has. I am not saying that the military will not make life more difficult. What I am saying is if someone cannot handle added stress to their life it is not necessarily the military's fault. If you have never been there(OBAMA) don't speak!!!! sorry but I just couldn't help but take a jab at our country's "mouth piece".
