New Hanover Regional is getting a much needed mobile pediatric intensive care unit, thanks in part to singer-songwriter Edwin McCain. Saturday night, McCain, along with the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra, performed in front of a sold out crowd at UNCW's Kenan Auditorium. Rudi Schlegel, from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, was the guest conductor. The concert, along with a grant from the Eshelman Foundation, raised enough money for the hospital to buy the mobile pediatric ICU.
