Do we need healthcare reform? Absolutely. But why are we so willing to turn something over to the gov't IN A HURRY that it seem few have even read or fully understand. I heard Speaker Pelosi on the radio yesterday say that if you do not buy health insurance you could go to jail. The President has said the same thing & used the anology of auto insurance, however, you are not required to purchase auto insurance if you do not make the choice to drive. My question is: in order to make insurance companies more competetive why can't we buy health insurance across state lines? This simple question has not yet been answered except one Representative who said if we bought across state lines the consumer couldn't be protected. Really?
