It begins at 9:00 a.m. A memorial ride Saturday benefits the family of former Sunny Point Provost Marshal, Major Dave Audo, who was killed in Iraq last month. All motorcycle riders are asked to make a donation. The ride starts at 1:00 p.m. at the Sunny Point Truck Gate parking lot. It begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. at the new Bank of America building on Third Street between Grace and Walnut. The three dollar admission benefits Creative Wilmington. If you like checking out yard sales, make sure to stop by one that benefits homeless animals. Paws Place is holding a big yard sale Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until noon. The rescue is located at 3701 Boiling Spring Lakes Road. Enjoy the feeling of fall with a festival at Smithville Park in Southport. There will be music, food, games, as well as arts and crafts. Proceeds benefit Southport Christian School. The fall festival runs from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. In Carolina Beach, the holiday season begins the Sunday before Thanksgiving. The Fourth Annual Holiday Walk kicks off this Sunday. Businesses open their doors for open houses, specials and other holiday festivities. You can even register for a drawing in December to get gifts from all participating merchants. Shopping fun continues at the Thanks for Giving Bazaar. Wrightsboro Methodist Church will be filled with home baked goods, crafts, gifts and even food. It begins at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. And who said girls are sugar and spice and everything nice? Watch some girls get downright aggressive as they tackle cancer Saturday night. It is the Cape Fear Roller Girls versus the Charlotte Roller Girls at the Cape Fear Community College Schwartz Center. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the bout benefit the New Hanover Regional Medical Center's Pink Ribbon Project.
