It may take you a couple of days to decorate your home for the holidays. Imagine it taking a week. That is what has been going on inside the Latimer House in downtown Wilmington. Volunteers have spent the past several days filling the historic home with lots of pine, poinsettias and holly. You can catch a glimpse of the Victorian elegance for yourself. The home is being decorated for this weekend's Old Wilmington by Candlelight Tour. “There are 16 sites on it this year so you can go all over Wilmington,” said Candace McGreevy of the Historical Society of the Lower Cape Fear. “The fun part of it is you get to go in private homes that ordinarily, you're not going to be allowed to be invited in there so you're going to be able to go in there and gawk at other peoples decorations, too.” The Old Wilmington by Candlelight Tour is the Historical Society of the Lower Cape Fear's biggest fundraiser of the year. You can buy tickets at the Latimer House. The tour is this Saturday and Sunday.
