Power restored at Wilmington schools

Wednesday's windy weather knocked out power at two Wilmington schools. D.C. Virgo Middle School and Snipes Academy without power after a tree limb fell on a nearby power line. The electricity went out just after 7:00 Wednesday morning. Power was restored around 11:30, and students and teachers resumed their regular day. In all, 7,000 people throughout New Hanover County were without power because of the weather.
