This gets even better.
Has anyone considered why the Attorney General chose to present the bill of indictment in January to the Grand Jury for consideration?
A Grand Jury is composed of 18 people chosen randomly by computer. They serve for 1 year.
Half are chosen in July and half are chosen in January.
Present the Bill of Indictment for consideration after January's new members are sworn, and suddenly you have 9 new faces to consider the possibility of charges against the Senator.
And it takes 12 votes, from the 18 member panel, to confirm the charges be brought.
Interesting how that works out.
Could that have any bearing on the time it took for this to be investigated?
