Holiday air travel picks up at ILM after weekend winter storm delays

Monday was a day of catch-up for air travelers across the country. Winter weather grounded planes forcing passengers to reschedule their holiday plans. At ILM flights to New York and Philadelphia were canceled thanks to large snow falls. This morning another flight to Philadelphia was canceled. The weather delays affected travelers trying to get into and out of the port city. Jane Barry, who’s flight was canceled said, "I got here yesterday morning all ready to fly into Chicago and found out my flight out of here would have gone but the one connection in Charlotte was canceled, so here I am trying to get to Charlotte today." Another stranded traveler, Jordan Sutherland said, “My flight got canceled due to the storm so I had to drive to Manchester, New Hampshire. So I had to sleep at the airport. Weather was already bad there; I got two hours of sleep last night, but I made it.”
