Health inspectors have been busy turning up several high performers in this week's Kitchen Cops report.
This week's highest score belongs to Taco Bell on Market Street in Wilmington. A perfect 100 plus two points for workers passing a food safety class.
Pita Delite on South College Road scored a perfect 100.
Perfection as well for Parchie's at the Ports on Burnett Boulevard.
Another 100 goes to Firehouse Subs on Carolina Beach road south of Monkey Junction.
Just a half point off for another Firehouse Subs. The restaurant in front of Independence Mall needs to replace torn gaskets.
The Kangaroo Express at 5800 Castle Hayne Road needs to replace rusting shelves. A half point off and a score of 99.5.
The same score goes to Ollie's Coffee and Donuts on North College Road. A half-point deduction to clean floors in hard-to-reach areas.
A score of 99.5 as well for Papa Murphy's Take-n-Bake Pizza on South College Road. The half-point deduction because measuring cups were stored with handles in food.
