Wrightsville Ave. work slow to resume

Construction work on the Wrightsville Avenue project between Forest Hills Drive and Wilshire Boulevard shut down a few months ago when the contractor filed for bankruptcy. After several months of no work, construction was was scheduled to resume today on the road improvement project.

The S.T. Wooten Corporation has taken over the project. Despite the warm temperature and the sunny skies we didn't see any construction activity today, and folks who work nearby say crews weren't doing much.

Originally the project was scheduled to completed last November. Construction is now anticipated to be finished by this fall.
