My son was hit by a drunk driver in Carolina Beach in 2008. It was a horrible accident that shut down the main road in Carolina Beach in August for several hours. The case finally came before a judge after many delays in November 2009. He only received a slap on the wrist. This was not his first dwi. To make matter worse, he had no insurance and no one wanted to prosecute him for that. How would the judicial system feel if this was there family member? Would the laws finally be changed or would they continue to be a slap on the wrist?
This is the norm
