Like the lakes -- go to Gason or Kerr.
Mountains -- head west toward Asheville.
Might bring her in touch with the average North Carolinian who might educate her on their perception on her leadership skills, or lack thereof.
Need security, use the local State Troopers and sheriff deputies rather than transport a crowd from Raleigh.
It may not amount to a large number of dollars; but it sets an example.
Frankly, you lead by example.
