Many thanks to Senator Hagan for her support for using common sense in fisheries management via S1255 Fexibility in Rebuilding Fisheries Act. While the world has its difficulties in sustaining fish stocks, the US fishermen have the highest concern for conservation and have suffered through many regulations in order to preserve our nation's supply of healthy seafood. Many times, however, needless sacrifices have been made due to unintentional consequences of our laws causing draconian actions affecting everything from the safe available protein source to consumers to the economic devastation of entire communities.
