It seems that when Uncle Sam negotiated to have big corporations pay for their retiree prescriptions a few years ago (instead of Medicare paying for the drugs) they made the cost tax-deductble because it was saving the government bundles of cash.
Unfortunately, Obamacare removes that tax deduction. You've already read the numbers - Caterpillar $100 million this year, Deere $150 million, etc.
Placing that on top of an already higher-than-average corporate tax rate, and in addition to hiring freezes and layoffs you can plan on a few of them bidding us adieu and moving their operations overseas.
