He did his job, a representative is supposed to vote the way the PEOPLE of his/her district wants ... no more than a puppet. A senator on the other hand, is supposed to vote his/her conscience of what he feels is best for the country as a whole, and should not let the people of his state influence that decision ... period. So to say that "GEE, WHAT A NOVEL IDEA - A CONGRESSMAN VOTING HIS CONSTITUENTS BELIEFS." really isn't a novel idea ... it's the problem. This country ... is a republic ... not a democracy .... Senators should start doing their jobs and quit worrying about getting re-elected, because we are getting closer and closer to mob rule ... which by the way ... is what a democracy really is.
Congressmen voting his constituents beliefs, I hope not!
