WFD offers child safety seat checks


Wilmington, NC (WWAY) -- Each year, 975 passengers under the age of 14 die in car accidents. This week the Wilmington Fire Department will conduct child passenger seat checks to educate parents about the importance of using child restraints correctly.

The community seat checks will take place tomorrow at Ogden Baptist Church on Market Street and Wednesday at Lowe's Foods on North College Road. Both seat checks will take place from 3:30 to 6 p.m.
