The only reason people in Columbus County and Tabor City continued to vote for R.C. was because we were afraid that if he were ousted, our State Senate representative would come from Brunswick County, not because he was a competant legislator. We were afraid Tabor City would fall even further off the radar in state politics. So in a sense, we are to blame. We condoned his bad behavior because he gave money to our businesses and churches. Shame on us!!!
