You're exactly right. There are more people in Brunswick County than in Columbus. More importantly, the two counties no longer share similar economies, demographics or political interests. As a result, they need to be split. The judicial district (Superior Court) has already been partially split and with Soles out, now is the time to separate Columbus County from Brunswick County.
