This is ridiculous. The girl is 16 years old. The parents should never have signed consent forms for this. When the girl is older and, hopefully, wiser, she will ask her parents why they ever let her go through with this. She will blame them for not stopping her from this very, very bad decision. And she'll be in the right to blame them. She is 16 and still in need of parenting. Unfortunately, she's now going to be getting that from her husband/father figure rather than the parents who should have been protecting her.
