Her transgressions, the acts which led to the sanctions, included giving players small sums of money and tickets to pro basketball games.

She excuses those acts as the result of her being a "rookie" coach.

I've never coached professionally; but even I know you don't give cash to players. Coaches don't; alumni don't.

I hope the Athletic Department has some type of monitoring program set up to ensure these types of activities do not resurface.

I can not believe she tried to excuse those actions by referring to herself as a rookie.

She played college ball; she knew better.
