Walk to Cure Leukemia and Lymphoma. Saturday you can enjoy a three mile walk around Greenfield Lake to raise money for the cause. The walk will be behind the tennis court and skate park. There will be refreshments and raffle prizes. Children under 12 are free. There will be a $20 donation accepted. The walk is from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

After you're finished walking you can enjoy the rest of your day at Greenfield Lake Latino style. Bring the family out to the fiesta at the lake celebration. There will be dance lessons and discounted paddle boats and canoe rental. Kids will even get to hit piñatas. There will also be food and Latin music. It starts at 11 a.m.

Fun in the sun! White Lake is holding its 32nd annual water festival. There will be a parade, tractor pulls, music, and arts and crafts. It kicks off Friday at 6:30 p.m. and runs through Sunday.

If you enjoy hot rods and food, the third annual Buctown Car Show and Cookout is Saturday. It will be held at Laney High School from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Registration is from 8 a.m. – 11 p.m. with a $25 entry fee for cars. There will be music, food, and prizes.

The Evergreen Volunteer Fire Department is holding a motorcycle ride, chicken bog, and auction fund raiser. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning. It's $10 to ride or $15 with a passenger. Riders will leave from the Sundo BP in Boardman at 11 a.m. Plates are $5.

Planes, trains, and automobiles, they'll all be on display at the Brunswick County Airport for the big toy day. Kids 8 through 17 will get the opportunity to fly *free* in single engine planes. There will also be camel and pony rides. Admission is $5, children under 5 get in free. It's Saturday behind the Brunswick County Airport from 10 a.m – 2 p.m.

Saturday you can celebrate the International Day of the Midwife with a cornhole tournament. There will be refreshments, local music, and a free children only tournament. Teams participating in the tournament will have to pay $30. It's from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
