Nope - complacency is the word I wanted to use. By being complacent and letting the government intrude a little bit at a time into our lives we slowly have our freedoms taken away. Little by little the "Nanny State" is getting worse. They want to regulate every aspect of our lives.
I am not fine with the schools babysitting - I pay taxes for my child to receive a free & appropriate education which he is not receiving because the teachers are forced to teach to a ridiculous test that they spend all year preparing for and then instead of just letting the kids who failed come back for summer school or just fail that grade, they just sit the ones who passed in classrooms to watch movies, play games, whatever while they are re-teaching the material and re-administering the test.
Polo shirts & khaki pants are not going to make a single kid smarter.
