Let's be sure we are clear here. I have read the minutes available on the bcswan.net web site. It was NOT Leland Middle and the administration that passed the no jeans rule. It was the school board. If you go look at the minutes from the June meeting you will see what was presented by LMS included jeans that were not torn, ripped or no holes as well as not baggy. Make sure you are pointing the finger in the right direction. As a parent I was all for what was being proposed and what we were polled on. What was proposed and presented to the board was polos (of any color) with appropriate jeans, capris, skirts/skorts (knee length) and slacks in khaki, black and navy blue. You can see it for yourself on the website. A letter came home Monday telling us that LMS administration is in talks with the school board regarding the community concern over the rule of not allowing jeans. If you didn't get a letter you should ask your child.
