WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- A man who tried to escape Wilmington Police twice yesterday is behind bars today. Christopher Holshouser faces more than a dozen charges including assault on an officer and three counts of resisting a public officer.
Police say Holshouser jumped out of a second-story window of a house on 3rd Street Tuesday to get away after being detained for possible drug activity downtown. He was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries, where he was hand-cuffed to a gurney. Holshauser managed to get free from the cuffs, and ran away again.
About two hours later, police arrested him again. Holshouser also has outstanding warrants in Mecklenburg County for assault.
